our story

Created by Tara Brooke and Gina Giordano, Born into This began as a conference in 2017 for birth workers, doulas and other health professionals to network and collaborate.

As co-founders of Doula Trainings International, Tara and Gina invited thought leaders in their community to creatively connect, share resources and examine injustices and privileges within the birth world. Inspired by the impact of those conversations and connections, the vision of Born Into This grew.

Now, Born Into This is a 501c3 nonprofit, and the organization continues to produce conferences, workshops and online content that work to revolutionize the world’s relationship to reproductive health.
